Schedule
A Year With CHOICE
At CHOICE, the academic year is divided into 7 sessions, with each session ranging from 3 to 6 weeks. Each session focuses on distinct themes and quests and culminates in an exhibition of learning. After each session heroes and families enjoy a rejuvenating week off.
A Session At CHOICE
Each session begins with Heroes diving into a new Quest—a collaborative, project based exploration—while continuing to set goals and build mastery in Core Skills like math, habits, and reading. Throughout the session, heroes meet Monday through Thursday, enjoying Fridays with their families. Every session ends with an exhibition of learning. Exhibitions are events planned and executed by the heroes, for their parents, which showcase the heroes’ progress and learning over the past session.
Daily Schedules
Explore the details of each studio’s schedule below.
Studios
Sparks Studio
Ages 5-7
Daily Schedule
Start of Day
Heroes start the day with a Socratic discussion. This discussion launches them into their Montessori work cycle where they use beautiful Montessori works to progress in their reading, writing and math. There are no devices or screens used in the Spark Studio.
Lunch Time
Heroes enjoy a half hour lunch and an hour of outside play - no matter the weather!
Afternoon
After a short peace time, heroes spend the afternoon in creative play and exploration, guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
End of Day
Heroes end their day by cleaning up their studio. Studio maintenance requires communication, collaboration, hard work and acknowledgment (accountability) that this is their special learning space.
Fire STudio
Ages 7-11
In the Fire Studio, heroes continue building independence and deepening their understanding of Core Skills while taking on increasingly complex Quests that integrate science, entrepreneurship, history, and the arts. Through Socratic discussions and studio systems, Fire Studio learners develop critical thinking, personal responsibility, group problem solving and the ability to manage freedom with accountability. They explore their interests, set goals, reflect often, and learn from failure—discovering that real growth happens when they choose to persevere. Heroes are introduced to intentional habits and the concept of grit! In the Fire Studio, heroes begin to take ownership of their path and believe in their ability to change the world… all while playing a lot of games and having a lot of fun!

Delta Studio
Ages 11-14
The DELTA Studio is where heroes begin to apply their learning to the real world. With increased autonomy and more rigorous challenges, DELTA learners engage in meaningful work that reflects their personal goals, passions, and values. They explore leadership, refine self-governance, and work collaboratively to tackle open-ended Quests that require creativity, innovation, and resilience. With mentorship from Guides and one another, DELTA heroes are encouraged to think deeply, act with integrity, and lead with purpose. They become skilled tribe builders who know how to play together and have vulnerable conversations together. Learners maintain the ability to play like children, while developing mature intrapersonal skills. Here, they gain the tools not just to dream big—but to begin building lives of impact.
